A Book & Lifestyle Blog
West Virginia is a special place. With a unique history, rich Appalachian culture, and scenic mountain beauty, it truly is “wild and wonderful.”
I moved from New Jersey to West Virginia in 2003 to attend West Virginia University. Despite living here for 20 years, there is still a lot of this state that I haven’t seen or experienced. However, I do know that Fall in West Virginia is picture perfect!
I decided to call upon the help of a friend, Nabin Karki — an amateur photographer and nature enthusiast who loves to explore our state — to share some of his favorite places to visit (and photograph) in West Virginia.
Below, get to know Nabin and see some of the most beautiful places to visit in the Fall in West Virginia through his lens!
Hi, I’m Nabin — Nepalese by birth, West Virginian by choice. Photography is like meditation for me. I especially love taking pictures of nature, but I dabble in capturing other types of photos, too. I enjoy traveling with my wife and son and exploring the wonders of the world together.

Next up is, of course, Coopers Rock State Forest!
I love it here because it’s very magical in every season and very inviting. There are several trails, it’s a lovely place to view a sunset, the landscape is beautiful, it has a great campsite and picnic area, and it’s a very camera-friendly place for photo lovers.

Third, and last for this post, is Babcock State Park.
