Modern marriage of convenience trope: a contemporary story in which the main characters marry for a purpose other than love or to the benefit one or both people, such as for economic, social, or political gain.
In a romance novel, which is what I’m sharing in this post, a marriage of convenience takes place before they fall in love, but you know that HEA is coming.
Honestly, this isn’t a trope I generally seek out, but I have read and enjoyed several, including a recent 5-star read that inspired this post (*hint: it’s first one shared below). Here’s a few contemporary romance books with a marriage of convenience that I recommend!
IN A JAM
