YA Book Review: I Kissed Shara Wheeler

I-Kissed-Shara-Wheeler-blog

Angsty and entertaining, I KISSED SHARA WHEELER is a wild coming-of-age ride! Casey McQuiston is phenomenal at telling stories of self discovery. Combine that with their ability to captivate through their writing…I’m a fan!

Picture Book Review: Reach For The Stars

Reach-For-The-Stars

Reach For The Stars is such a sweet story and was an absolute joy for me to experience with my children! I love the tenderness each precious moment of the story offers from the view of the caregiver.

I'll start! I got to spend some time with family this past weekend, WVU plays Pitt is an old-school rivalry game this weekend, and I've been enjoying meeting some new mom friends at Emma's preschool!
.
On a different note, one of my current reads is this delightful NA fantasy romance -- Assistant to the Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer! I love the humor and light-hearted tone, reminiscent of The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy or My Lady Jane πŸ’•

We had a fun but exhausting weekend! I was just watching the Philadelphia Eagles squeak out a win, and now I'm unpacking + doing some Sunday evening prep with the company of this audiobook -- Juniper Bean Resorts to Muder by Gracie Ruth Mitchell 🎧 @a.uniquely.portable.magic recommended this sweet romance with a cozy mystery mixed in. I borrowed it on Hoopla, and it's been a great, lighthearted read so far!

One of my best friends, Andrea, envisioned celebrating turning 40 in glamorous fashion -- literally -- by getting some pals together for an "80s/90s-esque glamour shot" party and photoshoot πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸŽ€ Prepping everyone's looks was so much fun and absolutely hilarious as we relived our pasts! @requiemimages did the actual shoot, and the pictures are priceless! <swipe to see some behind-the-scenes snaps> My inspo was "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion/Bianca Stratford from 10 Things I Hate About You" πŸ˜†
.
To make her 40th birthday even more worthwhile (and in true Andrea form because she is such a giver), the birthday girl was hoping to raise some money for a local charity near and dear to her heart, Scott's Run Settlement House. I shared how to donate to this non-profit on the last slide. For fun, if you make a donation and let us know, everyone has agreed to share more of the glam photos 😘 They are absolutely worth a donation to charity, I promise you!
.
Since my account is public, I took it upon myself to try to boost this. Please share!
