Sometimes, I need a good old fashioned kick in the butt by a decent book in a genre that I do actually enjoy but don’t pick up nearly enough to make me realize that reading a variety of books is GOOD for me. The Extraditionist (out 11/1/17) by Todd Merer was a solid of my love of thrillers.
There are SO MANY book releases that I am looking forward to in the coming weeks… months… year… that I feel like I will never be in short supply of anticipated reads! For this waiting on Wednesday, I thought I’d stick with the near future with Rachel Higginson’s Constant, releasing November 16th.
What do you get when a bookworm plans a wedding? Well, I can tell you what THIS bookworm did when I planned my recent wedding. I just got married at the end of September, and I wanted to share a little of my story.
Although I am clearly not in the target audience for Middle Grade literature, I do enjoy it! I was excited when approached with the opportunity to read the StarPassage saga. The premise of this story is really entertaining! There is a good combination of time travel, history, and faith, which made for a fun but meaningful tale.
Simply speaking, some books are worth the hype…An Enchantment of Ravens is one of them! An Enchantment of Ravens is a divine piece of writing. Margaret Rogerson’s first novel is completely masterful and full of whimsy. Rogerson 100% won me over with her writing!
Girls Made of Snow and Glass is a masterfully written spin on the tale of Snow White. This is a story of how the lives of the queen and the princess, a mother and a daughter, are less perfect than they seem.
It probably isn’t a huge surprise that I am anticipating the release of Dreamer, book 2 in the Traveler series by L.E. DeLano. Traveler has a 4-star rating by me on Goodreads, and I did a cover reveal for Dreamer here on the blog.
I am thrilled to take part in the cover reveal of The Rebels of Gold, the third and final book in The Loom Saga from Elise Kova that is set to release December 5, 2017 by Keymaster Press.
Some books take you by surprise. Heartless by Marissa Meyer was one such book for me. The story line is full of magic and marvel, danger and chaos, as one would expect from any tale from Wonderland. Meyer does the whimsical world justice and pays enough tribute while spinning her own narrative.
It’s Midweek Me Time! Check out my current read: Girls Made of Snow and Glass!
