Truth be told, I am not a big rereader. I do turn to old favorites (usually via audio) when I’m in a slump or need a pick-me-up, but rereads for me are few and far between.
Regardless, I have my favorites!
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline is the book I have reread most! There is so much that I love about it: the concept, the characters, the 80s nostalgia! It’s a tried and true slump-buster for me!
First, the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas is my favorite series. Haters gonna hate; I love it regardless! I’ve read the early books in the series more than the latter, largely because I would reread to brush up before another book release. Last year, though, I invested in the audiobooks for the entire series so I could reread them anytime. With how 2020 has been going, I wouldn’t be surprised if I reread the entire series soon!
I adore R.S. Grey! She is the rom com queen — a favorite/auto-buy author of mine! I can always count on her books to cheer me up or to give me a boost when I’m on the struggle bus with reading. Though I have my favorites, I am happy to reread anything she has written.
P.S. If you haven’t read R.S. Grey, check her out! My DMs are always open for recs!
Not gonna lie, I was nervous to reread books I loved 10+ years ago. Some books just don’t hold up, not to mention how my reading taste has changed. What I remembered most about first reading the Legend series by Marie Lu is that it was one of the only trilogies that I legitimately loved cover to cover…page one of book one clear to the end of book three. Luckily, I loved rereading this series recently just as much as I enjoyed reading it the first time through!
The Heartbreaker Bay series by Jill Shalvis just makes me feel good. I haven’t reread every book in the series, but I’m sure the rest aren’t far behind. These books simply make me smile.
