The new year is here, and now I’m excited to think about the books coming our way in 2019 — I have major grabby hands for quite a few! Some of the books I’m looking forward to most are highly anticipated sequels, some are by favorite authors, and some simply have me intrigued. Here is my list of top 10 anticipated 2019 releases:
1. RAGE by Cora Carmack
I read ROAR when it released and fell hard for it! It’s been a long wait for this sequel, so to say I’m anxious to read it is a massive understatement.
2. 99 PERCENT MINE by Sally Thorne
THE HATING GAME is right up my alley: a hate-to-love, office rom com with captivating characters. I signed up for Sally Thorne’s next book 5 pages into reading her first!
3. SERIOUS MOONLIGHT by Jenn Bennett
Jenn Bennett is one of my favorite YA Contemporary authors. I loved ALEX, APPROXIMATELY and STARRY EYES was one of my favorites from 2018. I cannot wait to see what she has come up with in this Spring release.
4. THE BRIDE TEST by Helen Hoang
Helen Hoang stole the show in 2018 with her debut, THE KISS QUOTIENT. I haven’t been so quick to recommend a book! She gave me a quirky story with some of my all-time fave characters.
5. THE GILDED WOLVES by Roshani Chokshi
I’ve been lucky enough to have early access to THE GILDED WOLVES, so I already know this is a solid YA Fantasy. I’m still working my way through it, but I hope to see this book have a successful run.
6. WE HUNT THE FLAME by Hafsah Faizal
It’s so interesting to see how someone goes from aspiring to debut author, and I am glad I’ve been witness to that for Hafsah Faizal. I remember when she shared getting signed and have been following her updates for the editing and publication process. I am looking forward to seeing this book actually come into existence.
7. WAYWARD SON by Rainbow Rowell
I. ADORED. CARRY. ON. I was super late to the game and just read CARRY ON last month. However, I need to have more of these characters and the world!
8. FINALE by Stephanie Garber
This is one of those series that I didn’t expect to love, especially because I found the main character of the first book so annoying. The rest of the cast of characters and the unique settings won me over, though. I’m excited to see how the saga plays out.
9. MEET CUTE by Helena Hunting
Helena Hunting is a romance queen! Combine that with a really adorable premise and you’ve got me sold!
10. AGAIN, BUT BETTER by Christine Riccio
I’ve grown to love contemporaries a lot in the past couple years. They are relatable and make me feel, and this book caught my attention with its synopsis, so I am quite pumped for it.
In addition, some of my faves get automatic spots at the top, including Rachel Higginson, R.S. Grey, Colleen Hoover, and Christina Lauren!
What are you dying to get your hands on in 2019?
