DECEMBER SUBSCRIPTION BOXES: Nerdy Post, Pink Cloud Candles, and Shelflove Crate

BEWARE OF SPOILERS FOR DECEMBER’S
NERDY POST, PINK CLOUD CANDLES, AND SHELFLOVE CRATE BOXES.

There’s just something about coming home to a little box of goodies!  Hi, I’m Kelly, and I’m addicted to bookish subscription boxes.

I even took it easy in December due to the holidays, but I still received three book and bookish subscription boxes.  These happen to be three that I receive regularly, so you should be seeing my thoughts each month.

Let’s chat!

wildandwonderfulreads Dec Nerdy Post

December Nerdy Post Box
THEME:  Narnia

I should preface this by saying that I basically always love everything included in Nerdy Post.  The price tag is so reasonable for their main box (although they just started doing tiered boxes), and the type of items included are right up my alley.

But…

GUYS! GUYS! GUYS!  This box was so incredible!  I adore The Chronicles of Narnia, and Nerdy Post curated such a whimsical, perfect box.  This is one of my favorite boxes from this company, if not my favorite.

Choosing the item I like best is seriously rough with December’s box, but I might have to say the print of the wardrobe.  I also adore the quote on the bookmark from the side pictured:  “The made-up things seem a good deal more important than the real ones.”

Overall, LOVE!  Check out Nerdy Post here.

wildandwonderfulreads Dec Pink Candles

December Pink Cloud Candles Box
THEME:  Naughty or Nice

One of my favorite parts about the book community is forming friendships with other bookworms (*hint hint: I’m a talker!  Feel free to message me anytime to fangirl over books, candles, etc.).  I haven’t been in the community long, but one of the first people to welcome me was Megan (@bookslayerreads), who now has her own candle shop, Pink Cloud Candles.

I love being a supportive friend, so I gladly tried Megan’s candles and loved them!  When she created a subscription box through her business, I decided to give it a try, and it has not yet disappointed!

December’s box was so fun because subscribers were surprised with either a naughty or a nice themed box.  Some items were the same in both boxes but some items varied based on which one you got.  As you can probably tell, I received the nice themed box.

I was exposed to some great shops that I wasn’t familiar with before, and the items were of good quality.  I also thought Megan blended some wonderful, wintery scents for the candles!

There will be some upcoming changes to the box, I believe, so stay tuned for that information!

Overall, this was a solid box!  Two thumbs up!  Check out Pink Cloud Candles here.

wildandwonderfulreads Dec Shelflove Crate

December Shelflove Crate Box
THEME:  Timeless

I was a book box subscriber before I joined the book community, and I have tried quite a few boxes.  I really want a box that selects good, anticipated books each month AND includes quality bookish products that add up to be worth the subscription cost.  Shelflove Crate has been a pretty consistent box that I’ve enjoyed since I first started receiving it several months ago.

I knew I was going to like the book choice because I was able to figure out which one they were including based on their clues, which was definitely a plus!  As much as I am looking forward to reading Everless, I’m not going to count on getting to it anytime soon, though.  *story of my life*

The bookish items were fairly decent in this box!  To be honest, I think the pillowcase has a weird texture, but the design is stunning.  The 2018 reading planner/journal was an awesome addition.  I decided to gift it to a fellow bookstagrammer because I had already purchased another, but it was a unique item to include in the last box of the year.  Those were the standout items, in my opinion.

Overall, really good box!  Check out Shelflove Crate here.

Did you receive any of these boxes or do you think you might want to try any of these companies?  Tell me your thoughts in the comments!

Until next time…xo
